BC Day Weekend on Galiano

Back to Galiano for the annual Lions' Fiesta. We go to this just about every year. Things have quieted down from the Jamboree almost a month earlier and it is time for another party. Craft booths, island exibits, a parade, barbeque and lots of games for the kids.

Freddy Fuddpucker and his Rolling Clones are always playing in the Fiesta parade.

If you look closely you can see Matthew in the reflection of Kiyo's sunglasses yanking on his arm. It is sort of like Kiyo cam.

Matthew played lots of games at the fiesta and collected enough prize tickets to get face paints and proceeded to paint everyone's faces...

...and got is face painted too, though he wasn't to sure about letting a girl do it.

Matthew also participated in some of the races, like this sack race.

He was a bit concerned that he was given a first place ribbon when he was clearly last. I told him that it was because he tried so hard.

Some of the wildlife and plants around Annie's amazing garden.

It seems frogs don't like getting kisses from boys. I'm not sure what Matthew was expecting it to turn in to.

"Juvenile Mutant Tae Kwon Do Turtle" or a new form os skin care? You be the judge.

We all went to lunch down at the Galiano Inn. The highlight was that the entire Galiano family made it, oh, and the Ostrich burgers.
