More Soccer

The soccer season is over for Matthew. Here are some photos of games since the last post.

At the beginning of January, Matthew's team was in an indoor tournament at Park Gate. They didn't win, but played well. Inside was much more comfortable than outside and convenient for the grandparents to come and watch.

The weather with winter games is not always very good. Some games have been really cold and others rather wet.

This is one of the Swamp Dragon's few goals of the season. It is the only one I have ever photographed.

The team rotates players on the field a few times each half. Matthew doesn't mind sitting out part of the game and seems to enjoy the break.

A few weeks ago there was an unexpected player on the field. A dog decided to join in the fun. The kids were no match.

With my new camera lens I have been able to capture a lot more of the action at the games.

The longer reach of the new lens makes the shoe laces just jump out at you.

Now that the weather is warming up it is time to stop playing soccer (?). The season is over for now and hopefully most of the team will be back next year.
