Day 5 in Australia

After leaving Bargara we stopped at the Hummock Lookout, a volcanic cone with a good view of the sugar cane fields in every direction and the ocean in the distance.

We didn't have a lot of time left in Australia and had thought of visiting the Tangalooma Resort on Moreton Island for a day. I called to book a reservation on one of their day trips for the next day and decided to book a night as well. This meant that we had to get back to Brisbane by early the next morning so we didn't have much time to stop and visit places.

One place we did stop for Matthew was the Bellingham Maze. This was about as close as we got to the Sunshine Coast. It is a star shaped hedge maze that actually turned out to be quite hard to reach the fountain in the middle.

Here is the GPS log from our trip through the maze. After the maze we headed back to Brisbane to find a place to stay for the night before our morning trip to Moreton Island. Posted by Hello
