Day 6 in New Zealand

We drove back down to Henderson from Whangarei, stopping at the Kauri Museum and following the west coast down from Wellsford. The Kauri Museum is dedicated to the native Kauri tree. Actually the museum seems to focus more on the people and technology that helped cut it all down (I have my suspicions as to why they don't have many Kauri trees left).

On the way south we stopped at the Omeru Scenic Reserve for a break where we took a walk around the small reserve. It had a small suspension bridge, a Maori Pa site, some waterfalls and, more importantly, a toilet.
